Eagan, Minn. Sept. 11, 2012 – Thomson Reuters, the world’s leading source of intelligent information for businesses and professionals, announced that Westlaw, WestlawNext and Pangea3 won top honors in the 2012 New York Law Journal Reader Rankings.

Pangea3, the most experienced provider of high-quality outsourced legal solutions to the world's most respected companies and law firms, was named the Best Legal Process Outsourcer for the second consecutive year since the category was included in the survey.

Continuing its efforts to improve customer productivity and deliver superior client service, Thomson Reuters is intent on providing legal professionals access to their information and tools anytime, anywhere to meet their mobile workflow needs. WestlawNext has led this initiative, recently launching a WestlawNext AndroidTM app. The award-winning WestlawNext iPad® app also has seen several enhancements including: folder sharing, West km integration, supporting web-hosted client validation (VPN); and enhanced graphics and fonts.

"This recognition is gratifying because it comes from customers – the professionals who work with our products every day. Their accolades strengthen and affirm our goal of providing legal professionals with products and services that they can rely on anytime, anywhere, such as WestlawNext, which is used by more than 43,000 legal organizations and the majority of the AmLaw 100," said Colin Mackay, vice president of Marketing at Thomson Reuters.

In the Legal Process Outsourcing space, Pangea3 continues to lead the market and develop innovative services to help corporate legal departments extend capacity and improve efficiency while saving money. It recently launched a Mortgage-Backed Securities Taskforce to meet the growing demand in financial services litigation. The new Pangea3 Regulatory Mapping offering was developed to help compliance officers manage ever-changing regulatory requirements and record enforcement.

“It is an honor to be recognized by our clients and peers as the Best Legal Process Outsourcing provider for the second year in a row. Their votes are especially meaningful as we pride ourselves on our ability to create new solutions supported by deep client relationships,” said Greg McPolin, managing director, Pangea3 and Corporate Counsel Litigation Sector.

The awards were based on a survey of New York Law Journal readers and featured 63 categories with more than 6,800 voters participating.
