Corporate Action Coverage Expansion in 2011
Thomson Reuters has expanded our coverage of corporate actions for our clients. Corporate actions are events that bring a material change to a business and the relationships connected to it. Events can range from a common cash dividend payment to a complex takeover or capital restructuring and include dividends, capital changes (stock split, share consolidation, right issue, bonus issue, capital return and de-merger), capital adjustments, total shares, and derived data (return index, market capitalization, annualized dividends, dividend yield).
Having access to a broad and up-to-date range of global corporate actions is essential for investors today, which is why Thomson Reuters is continually expanding our coverage.
For our Datastream and Thomson One users we have expanded coverage to include an additional 20 markets (see list below) and expanded coverage of the Indian market by 3000 companies.
For our DataScope, Reuters Knowledge, 3000Xtra, Thomson Reuters Eikon users our corporate action coverage now includes two new markets, Montenegro and Syria, and expanded the coverage for securities trading on the Russian Trading System (RTS) Board and Oman to include Third Market listings on the Muscat Securities Exchange.
Montenegro – all Equity Stocks trading in the Montenegro Stock Exchange.
Syria – all Equity Stocks trading in the Damascus Stock Exchange, Syria.
Oman - includes third market listings on the Muscat Securities Exchange. At present, this expansion equates to 11 companies. However, it also includes any future companies which list on the third market
Russia – an additional 188 equity securities trading on the Russian Trading System (RTS)Board. RTS was established in Moscow in 1995 consolidating various regional trading floors into one exchange. The RTS Board is the system used for indicative quotation of securities not listed on the RTS.
